Bloomwood Photography is an award-winning photography business, based in Rochford (near Southend) and offering wedding photography services. We are recommended suppliers at several wedding venues, but regularly photograph weddings at venues across Essex.
We offer the professionalism of a large company, but our ethos is about ensuring a tailored personal service for each of our clients. So much so, that we’re lucky enough to call many of the couples that we’ve photographed friends now.
We specialise in wedding photography and family portrait sessions. We take what we do very seriously as we are trusted to capture beautiful images that can be kept forever, and we use the latest equipment, are fully insured, CRB checked and members of the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers.
Because we take photography seriously, it doesn’t mean that it can’t be fun too! In fact that is one of the most important factors in getting beautifully natural photographs! The fact that we enjoy what we do comes across in our photography and makes the people that we photograph feel more comfortable and at ease.

Hi, I’m Emma.
I’ve photographed hundreds of weddings over the last 10 years and I’m very lucky to do a job that I love. Aside from the photography itself, it’s great to be around people for some of the most special times in their lives. I get to know couples and often their families too… and it’s common for me to go on to photograph future weddings for friends and families of a couple.
There’s nothing more rewarding than sharing photos telling the story of the day to a couple in the weeks after the wedding. Giving them reminders of things that happened, or showing them moments they had not seen on the day.
My style of photography is natural and unobtrusive. I ensure that I know what a couple wants and everything is planned before the wedding – so that the day runs smoothly and with minimal time taken.
Hi, I’m Ross.
I’ve worked with Emma photographing weddings since 2013. When a couple books two photographers for their wedding day, Emma acts as lead photographer and organises all the posed group shots, and I discreetly roam amongst guests taking natural, unposed photos. I also photograph weddings at venues across Essex as a sole photographer – and love getting to know couples and am honoured to be a part of such a special day.
As a wedding guest, there’s nothing worse than a photographer pointing a camera at you at asking you to smile on demand. So I enjoy interacting with guests and capturing genuine smiles and laughter.
My style is fun and light-hearted as that’s when I get the most relaxed and natural shots. But I also like experimenting with use of creative flash and light to get unique ‘wow’ shots individual to each wedding.
Being a good photographer is not just about taking photos… it’s about having fun and making people feel at ease. It should be as though people forget that you are there.
