A relaxed and natural style to tell the story of the day…

….capturing the big moments and the little details.

Every wedding photographer is different – so it’s important to make sure you choose a style that suits your preference. We know that sounds obvious, but we often speak with couples who are confused by the way everyone describes what they offer… documentary, reportage, contemporary, natural, stylised, posed… the options are endless.

You will want to have certain posed photos – mainly with friends and family – and a few as a couple. But no-one wants to feel like they’re being dragged around on a photoshoot for half of their wedding day, or be forced to give a cheesy smile on demand! So making you feel comfortable and relaxed around us is a priority.
We try to keep things simple and make sure you get exactly what you want, and you know what to expect. Of course, looking through our portfolio and examples of previous weddings is a great way of deciding if you like our work.
We describe our style as relaxed and natural, because that’s exactly how we work.

The majority of the images we capture are unposed and are smiles of laughter, or a loving look. Throughout much of your wedding day we’ll be capturing those moments when you don’t even realise we’re there – and that’s when we often get the best photos which capture the feel and emotion of your day.

When we edit the photos we try to keep things as natural as possible. We do have our own editing style – but you’ve chosen all the colours and details for your wedding, so the photos should reflect that. Of course we sometimes have to edit things to get the best looking images for you – so on a dull day we might lighten images up, but we wouldn’t completely replace the sky for example.

By keeping things natural your photos will be timeless and still be a true record of your wedding day when you look back in years to come. Whilst it is possible to stylise photos and heavily edit them, this tends to make images look dated as years pass – so we try to avoid that.

There are many Essex wedding photographers and each will have their own style of capturing and editing a wedding day. Have a click around our website and take a look at our work – or contact us if you want to see galleries of full weddings from your wedding venue in Essex.
